Fiberglass Facts
Another early race car to use a fiberglass body in 1952 was the Sterling Edwards Special, built by Phil Remington . The design of this car was loosely based on Edward first race car, and different from the production fiberglass sports cars that Edwards introduced in late 1953. Phil Remmington built this car and the body was the male mold – which involved quite a bit of sanding.
